From the very first lesson, I felt uncomfortable due to Jay’s confrontational demeanor. Rather than providing constructive feedback and support, he often resorted to yelling, which not only startled me but also left me feeling demoralized. Learning should be an encouraging journey, but his behavior made each session tense and stressful.
Moreover, I noticed an underlying tone of misogyny in his comments. This attitude not only undermines the learning experience but also perpetuates a hostile environment for female students like myself. It is essential for instructors to promote inclusivity and respect, and unfortunately, Jay's approach reflects the opposite.
I urge the administration to consider these issues seriously. Students deserve to learn in an environment where they feel safe, respected, and empowered. It is imperative that action is taken to address this behavior, ensuring that future students do not endure the same negative and discouraging experience.
