I had grant as a diving instructor for about 8 hours of manual driving. I didn't have much experience in a manual car but made quick progress and was able to learn very quickly thanks to grants patients and great teaching abilities. great instructor would highly recommend for any sort of driver.

I just passed my driving test on the first attempt today after having manual lessons with Grant and I can't thank him enough! I'm a slightly older P-plater (22) and have had a pretty difficult time learning to drive. I've always been nervous behind the wheel, and even once I could drive around well enough with my parents — without particularly good technique — I procrastinated booking lessons due to social anxiety. I tried a couple of other instructors from different schools but found that they were too intense and I just wasn't comfortable in the car with them. Then I found Grant, and decided in my first lesson to stick with him until the test! He's very knowledgeable of course, but never overwhelmed me with information that wasn't necessary. He would always tell me when I made a mistake or if there was something I could improve on, but not in a way that made me feel judged or discouraged. He seemed to understand my anxiety without me having to say too much about it, and really helped to reassure me and calm some of my nerves before the test. I can't recommend Grant and Ace enough — particularly if you have a similar story to me. You're probably more capable of being a good driver than you think!

I would highly recommend Grant for any manual learners in Brisbane. I was an anxious driver and Grant was extremely patient with me and happy to progress on my terms in the beginning. Even when I made mistakes, he remained calm which helped me eventually get over my fear of driving. His instructions for different manoeuvres were easy to follow and he encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone and confidently drive in unfamiliar environments. The advice and instructions I received were easy to grasp and implement, notably due to his calm tone. I had Grant as my driving instructor for 2 weeks right up until my driving exam. He was an absolute legend in helping me pass. His calm and patient attitude made it very easy to pick up on the mistakes I was making in the car. I would absolutely recommend him for anyone trying to learn how to drive a manual!

Ace as well as a driving company was very easy to organise lessons over the phone and user friendly to book online.
